Just like most people who have been busy preparing for the arrival of Christmas and the holiday season, Department 56 is also working hard on its product lines. It was about a month ago that Department 56 retired a number of items from its Village, Snowbabies and other collectible product lines. Last week, the company announced new 2010 introductions including lit-houses and accessories for the Heritage Village and the Snow Village collections and figurines for the Snowbabies collection.
However, if one looks at the introduction list for the Village category carefully, one would notice
that a brand new “village” called “A Place To Remember” has been added. Apparently, this “village” contains facades of buildings from different geographical areas in the world. The first 3 designs for this “village” are “An Evening In Paris” (right), “The Hills Of Tuscany” and “Carmel By The Sea”.
