Established in 1994, Trillium Village Collectors Club is one of Canada's oldest Department 56 collector clubs.  We are based in Toronto but have club members all over the province of Ontario.

The objective of our club is to provide a meeting place for club members to share the joy and excitement of their hobbies and to share display ideas featuring their favourite collectibles.  All collectors and retailers of Department 56 Village and Holiday products are welcome to join the club.  Club membership also includes an informative newsletter mailed physically or electronically to each club member every other month.  Membership form is available for download on the "About Us" page.

Trillium Village Collectors Club is a not-for-profit organization.  Although we appreciate support from our retailer members, the club is not affiliated with any Department 56 retailers.

New Introduction, Retirement and much more!

After another hiatus from blogging, here are some information to catch up on in the world of Department 56 collecting:

  • 2012 midyear introduction for new Department 56 Village and Snowbaby products was announced at the end of May this year.  Click on this link to see for yourself what the company has in store for you.   Around this time of the year, you should be able to see these new products in a retailer store near you.
  • Department 56 announced 2012 retirement just a week ago.   Lots of village items, accessories, Snowbabies and other collectible products were, unfortunately, included in this annual retirement.  Click here to see what items were retired.  Maybe you need to run to your favourite Department 56 retailer to purchase the retired item(s)!
  • In early December, Department 56 will announce their new introduction.  Stay tuned!
  • Our club had a couple of meetings since my last blog.  Go to the Club Event page to see what activities we had in our May and September meetings.   Our next meeting, also our Christmas meeting, will take place on Sunday, November 25th.  It will be a fun filled and agenda full meeting where we will have our annual pot-luck lunch, a Santa themed Christmas display contest, a Christmas card making activity, gift exchange, etc.   Hope you can join us.
  • Our annual holiday brunch has been confirmed for Saturday, January 5th, 2013 in the Mandarin Buffet restaurant in Brampton, Ontario.   Please contact tvcc@rogers.com for more details.
  • Last but not least, our club newsletter has resumed production.   Barry and Martha have graciously accepted the role of newsletter editors and they have published the very first edition of the newsletter.   Go to the 2012 Newsletter link to see their wonderful work.
