In 2018, Department 56 introduced its version of the Harry Potter Village. Its majestic looking and awe-inspiring Hogwarts Great Hall & Tower building has been a huge hit among Department 56 collectors (though albeit on the expensive side). But did you know that there is a second Harry Potter Village in the collectible market available for purchase since the end of 2017?
Bradford Exchange, a well known mail ordering company offering limited-edition collectibles, dolls, figurines and fine jewellery, also offers its own version of the Harry Potter Village. This product is officially licensed with the Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and each village building comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. Similar to Department 56’s products, the village buildings and figurines in this collection are individually handcrafted and hand-painted and the buildings light up as well. However, I cannot tell from the information what material these buildings are made of, but my guess would be something similar to resin. So far, Bradford Exchange has announced 3 buildings and the Hogwarts Express train plus figurines of the main characters to the collection. Interested?
