Established in 1994, Trillium Village Collectors Club is one of Canada's oldest Department 56 collector clubs.  We are based in Toronto but have club members all over the province of Ontario.

The objective of our club is to provide a meeting place for club members to share the joy and excitement of their hobbies and to share display ideas featuring their favourite collectibles.  All collectors and retailers of Department 56 Village and Holiday products are welcome to join the club.  Club membership also includes an informative newsletter mailed physically or electronically to each club member every other month.  Membership form is available for download on the "About Us" page.

Trillium Village Collectors Club is a not-for-profit organization.  Although we appreciate support from our retailer members, the club is not affiliated with any Department 56 retailers.

Happy Canada Day!!

It has been awhile since I last updated this blog site.  Given the current global pandemic situation with the coronavirus, I am sure we have all been hunkered down in the past few months trying to stay healthy and trying to keep everyone else healthy around us.

This has been a very unsettling time for all of us when our “regular” lives have basically been turned upside down.  (Seriously, when was the last time we spent THAT much money on groceries?)  But one thing is certain that we are all thankful to frontline workers.  They take care of the sick in the hospitals.  They take care of the seniors in retirement residences and long term care facilities.  They keep the economy running and keep our daily necessities accessible so that all of us can stay home and stay healthy.

However, the silver lining seems to be appearing in the horizon for many of us.  Let’s keep our fingers crossed.   Soon, we will be able to meet and greet and give our friends and families great big hugs just like before.

July 1st is Canada Day – our country’s national holiday celebrating the anniversary of the Canadian Confederation on July 1st, 1867 .   Wishing you all a wonderful holiday!

Let’s also not forget our neighbour in the South who is celebrating their Independence Day on the Fourth of July.

Meanwhile, in order to distract us all from our “new normal”, Department 56 has released a few midyear introductions for 2020.  Maybe we can plan ahead and think how we are going to incorporate these new pieces into our village displays.
