You can tell I don’t live in Buffalo
Anyway, we have a lot to cover in this update:
- Our Christmas club meeting is only a week away. Our agenda will be jam packed with fun, fun, fun. So, check out all the details here.
- Department 56 is also set for the upcoming US Thanksgiving/Christmas shopping season as it has announced its annual retirement list a couple of weeks ago. Click here to see the list from Department 56’s web site. Do you know that there are 7 lithouses included in this retirement list that were introduced only at the start of this year? Now wouldn’t that be an interesting hunt for those collectors who love to own pieces produced in a very short time frame? Of course, I am not talking about the special “Magic of Christmas” holiday sets that were introduced this past May and were limited to this year's production.
- Our September meeting was a bit unusual as we spent more time talking as a group when the membership tried to decide whether to host a collector convention or not. But nevertheless, we were able to enjoy some of our members’ contributions to the Fall/Halloween display contest. Below are some sneak peeks. Click here to see the highlights of that meeting.
- Our November edition of the club newsletter is now available for viewing on this blog site. Check out this latest edition and many others in our Newsletter section.
- Around Halloween every year, our member Cheryl T. loves to capture her fantastic Halloween displays on video. It is no different this year and we are fortunate that she shares her display with us. So, make haste and head over to our Member Displays section to see how Cheryl decorated her home with wonderful sights and sounds.
