In addition to the Harry Potter Village, mentioned in a post few days ago, that was introduced by Department 56 in 2018, the company has introduced many other new products to entice both old and new collectors of their beloved Villages and Snowbabies collectibles.
Here is a run down of a few highlights:
- Mid year introduction
- The Addams Family House from the Hot Properties Village
- a 4-story towered building with a side observatory
- apparently, it fits right in with the Snow Village Halloween Village
- The Charcoal Grinding Building from the Jack Daniel’s Village
- the process of making Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey begins with charring sugar maple timbers and the resulting charcoal is fed through a grinder to produce pellets for filtering impurities
- B Sweet Shop from the Original Snow Village Collection
- it is a numbered limited edition to honour Ed Bazinet, the founder of Department 56, who passed away last November
- the edition size is 1976, as a reference to the year Department 56 was found and the year in which the Original Snow Village Collection was first introduced
- Easter Sweets House from the Original Snow Village Collection
- a bright candy pink coloured cottage with a chocolate covered roof
- it sure will be a hit among collectors young and old when the Easter season comes around
- Welcoming Christmas
- there will be 4 special holiday gift sets available before Christmas in each of these villages: Original Snow Village, Dicken’s Village, Christmas In The City and North Pole
- all of the buildings in these gift sets have one thing in common: lit candles in all open windows welcoming guests and visitors
- Snowbabies Unicorn Collection
- a group of new Snowbabies figurines pairing up with the legendary creature
- The Addams Family House from the Hot Properties Village
- Rockwell’s Christmas Eve and Rockwell 5 & 10 from the Original Snow Village Collection
- introduced January of this year, these buildings are inspired by two of the many distinctive and iconic cover illustrations Norman Rockwell created for the Saturday Evening Post magazine
- Norman Rockwell (1894 – 1978), a beloved American artist is most well known for his nostalgic, touching paintings that appealingly depicted everyday life
- Rockwell’s Christmas Eve has the holiday favourite “Santa Looking at Two Sleeping Children" at its front window while Rockwell 5 & 10 features the famous 1958 illustration, “The Runaway”
- Numbered Limited Editions
